Dentistry, and the week around it.

A private practice for implants and full-arch rehabilitation. The treatment is diagnosed, planned and priced in writing before you book a flight. The residence, the transport and the coordination are ours. One named person is accountable from the first call to the follow-up with your own dentist at home.

Who

A private dental practice. Implant, prosthodontic and restorative work, under one roof and one clinical lead.

Where

Medellín, Colombia. 1,495 m. Three and a half hours from Miami, under six from New York.

What

A written diagnosis, a written sequence and a written price — before you are asked to commit to anything.

How long

Six to nine days. One visit. Recovery inside the schedule rather than squeezed out of it.

01  /  Practice

A practice, not a package.

Most of what is sold as dental travel is a booking layer over a clinic someone found. This is the other way round: a practice with its own chairs, its own laboratory and its own clinical lead, which decided that the week around the treatment was part of the treatment.

That distinction shows up in ordinary ways. Appointments are spaced around healing rather than around a return flight. There is one chair to a room. The laboratory is in the same building, so an adjustment is an hour rather than a second trip. And the person who answers your first message is the person waiting for you at the terminal.

02  /  Treatment

What we do — and what we decline to do.

The second list matters more than the first. Anyone can publish a scope of work. What tells you how a practice behaves under pressure is what it refuses when a patient has already bought a ticket.

01

Implants, single and multiple

Placement and restoration, with immediate loading where the bone allows it and a staged approach where it does not.

02

Full-arch rehabilitation

Fixed and implant-supported. Planned digitally, milled in the building, fitted and adjusted before you fly.

03

Crowns, bridges and onlays

All-ceramic, shade matched to the teeth you are keeping rather than to a chart.

04

Extraction, grafting and sinus work

Where the site has to be rebuilt before anything can be placed into it.

What we decline
  • We do not quote before we have seen a scan. A price given without imaging is a guess, and guesses move once you are in the chair.
  • We do not compress a case that needs healing time into a single week because a flight is already booked.
  • We do not begin elective work on a travel schedule where there is active infection or uncontrolled systemic disease.
  • We do not publish before-and-after photographs unless they were made under identical lighting, lens, distance and background, with written authorisation on file. We currently publish none.

03  /  The week

Six to nine days, arranged before you leave.

Nothing below is arranged after you land. The sequence, the residence, the transport and the follow-up at home are fixed while you are still deciding whether to come at all.

  1. Step 01

    Consult

A video call with the clinician who would treat you — not with a salesperson. Bring any imaging or plan you already hold.

  2. Step 02

    Plan

A written diagnosis, a written sequence and an itemised price. It does not change unless the clinical picture does.

  3. Step 03

    Arrive

Met inside the terminal. Private transfer. Keys, a schedule and a phone number in your hand the same evening.

  4. Step 04

    Treat

Appointments coordinated around healing, not around a departure date, with someone beside you at each one.

  5. Step 05

    Recover

Time held in the schedule, in a residence ten minutes from the chair.

  6. Step 06

    Return

Records in English, a warranty document, and a dentist arranged in your own city for the follow-up.

04  /  Residence

Ten minutes from the chair.

A serviced residence, not a hotel room: a kitchen, a terrace, a second bedroom at no additional cost so that someone can travel with you, and a neighbourhood you can walk in the evening without arranging anything first.

05  /  Medellín

The city is not the reason. It is not a drawback either.

Medellín sits in a narrow valley at 1,495 metres, which is why the temperature barely moves across the year and why there is no season to plan around. It is a working city of two and a half million people with a metro, a great deal of new building and a direct flight from most of the eastern United States.

We mention it because the practical facts are what actually matter when you are deciding — the flight time, the altitude, the fact that your phone works and the time zone does not shift. Everything else about the city you can find out for yourself, and probably should.

06  /  Accountability

Who is accountable, and for what.

The question underneath every other question is what happens if this goes wrong a long way from home. Here is the answer, before you ask it.

The operator

Alta Sierra is operated by Osmos, a Medellín company. Osmos contracts the clinical work, the residence and the transport, holds the agreement with you, and is the party you hold to it. You are not assembling this from three suppliers.

Clinical responsibility

Treatment is performed by a named, registered clinician whose name appears on your plan before you travel — not by whoever is free that morning.

If something fails afterwards

The warranty and the remedy are written into the plan you sign, including who pays for what and within what period. We would rather you read it than trust us.

Money

Payment is staged and documented. We never ask for card, bank or passport details by email, by telephone or through this page.

Your clinical information

Your diagnosis and your images are not shown to anyone, used in any material or published in any form without your written authorisation, which you can withdraw.

07  /  Questions
How long does the whole thing actually take?
Most implant and full-arch cases are six to nine days in the city, in one visit. Some need two visits several months apart because bone has to integrate, and no schedule changes that. Which one you are is decided by the scan, not by the calendar.
What if I need something after I have flown home?
The plan names the warranty period, what it covers and who pays. We arrange a dentist in your own city for the routine follow-up, and your full records go with you in English.
Why is this less expensive than the same work at home?
Lower cost of clinical time, premises and laboratory work in Colombia — not lower specification. The materials and the implant systems are the same ones your dentist at home would name. If a quotation is cheap because the components are unbranded, that is a different product, and we will tell you so.
Can someone travel with me?
The residence has a second bedroom for exactly that reason, and it costs nothing additional. Most people who come for full-arch work bring someone.

08  /  Consultation

Start with the plan, not the flight.

Send us what you have — a plan from your own dentist, an X-ray, or simply a description. A clinician reads it, and a named coordinator replies within one business day with what we would need in order to quote properly.

No cost
The first review and the video consultation are free, and carry no obligation.
No card details
We never ask for card, bank or passport details on this page, by email or by telephone.
Confidential
Your clinical information is not shared or published without your written authorisation.
Please add your name.
Please check the email address.
Please tell us a little about what you need.
That did not send. Please try again in a moment, or write to us on WhatsApp below — it reaches the same person.

Submitting sends your message to the coordination team in Medellín. It does not book anything and it does not commit you to anything.

Thank you. Look for our email.

A named coordinator will reply within one business day, once a clinician has read what you sent.

Or, if you would rather write

WhatsApp reaches the same coordinator, and it is the only route where you can simply photograph the plan or the X‑ray your own dentist gave you and send it as it is.
